The TechCrunch effect

Here is the Google Analytic graph showing the great effectiveness of what we have to call: the TechCrunch revolution.

The summit after the post’s release.

This blog, created by Mike Arrington, then diffused in France by Ouriel Ohayon is becoming one of the most read blogs on new technologies. Such blogs’ specialized audience and their “word-of-mouth” effect probably overtake the news domain’s heavyweights such as C/net, and the Press. More than a blog, it’s the editorial line and the sharp look given to new technological creations which are so attractive.

Here are some figures resulting from Ouriel Ohayon’s article on techcrunch.fr and .com concerning SKY-click in 24 hours:

Geo Localisation

Visitor repartition per country:

The results :

-1130 information request emails in two days
-More than 3000 unique visitors (see GA chart), Sunday at 1300 GMT.
-World coverage, see visitors’ provenance above.
-Commentaries, podcasts and posts on dozens of blogs
-The news is relayed by all the important tag aggregators, Technorati, Digg, del.icio.us, etc…

By the way, I’ve been using Keotag, an excellent tag search engine which allows a global view with a few clicks on a keyword.

No doubt the very protected world of public relations and communication will be upset by these new and terribly efficient diffusion techniques, which offer a quasi planetary visibility.

In any case, hats off to Mike and Ouriel for sharing with us daily the latest news in the world of new technology.
