At Innovate Europe 2006, Niklas Zennström, Skype’s CEO, said: “Pay-per-lead is one of the major directions of Skype’s commercial development”, citing the example of a customer interested in buying a car on eBay who will be able to call the vendor directly to ask for information which will then increase chances of sale.

This example couldn’t have corresponded better to the demo and presentation by Edouard Wattinne, ADS-click’s VP for Business Development, one of the start-ups selected for Innovate Europe.

A few minutes after Niklas, Edouard showed a technology which perfectly supported the Skype CEO’s discourse.

The SKY-click call centre, added to ADS-click’s solution allows pay-per-call to be auctioned and call management with support for CRM tools such as Salesforce. A new solution optimising sales life cycles for most goods & services vendors and advertisers like never before.

I would have liked to show you the video from the conference, but with the current explosion of video on the Internet it is curious that the organisers don’t offer extracts from different presentations after the event. ???

SKY-click’s commercial site is open and the first beta testing accounts have been sent.
